I saw this post over on Sitting In The Clouds & she tagged everyone (including me, that means!). So… here’s my answers!
- How long have you been bullet journaling?
Since May 2016, so not that long. I’m on my second BuJo.
- What makes the bullet journal system right for you?
It’s versatile and I don’t feel like I have to conform to anything. I can add anything that I need, or leave out something I don’t need. All you need is a notebook and a pen rather than a fancy (expensive) planner and lots of stickers!
- What notebook do you use and why?
I’m a sheep and use a Leuchtturm1917 (in Navy at the moment) but it is a great notebook. I love the index and the numbered pages. I’ve never had an issue with bleeding or ghosting through the paper!
- What’s your go-to pen?
I still haven’t found ‘the one’ because I generally just use cheap pens from The Works. I like smooth-feeling
- What’s your bullet journal style?
I am pretty simplistic. Sometimes I’ll add a bit of colour or fancy font but mostly I just want it practical. I don’t have much time to BuJo anymore so I can’t spend much time doing pretty stuff. Check out my flip-through on YouTube if you want to see it in detail!
- What’s your favourite spread to set up each month?
Probably my blog schedule page because I really like to schedule stuff. That’s probably really anorak-y but whatever.
- Where do you get inspiration from?
The various Facebook groups I’m part of and Instagram. I used to use Pinterest a lot but now I’m just like… nope. Too fancy.
- What’s your bullet journal routine?
After dinner and after all my youtube and blog stuff is done I get a really dense cushion (we call it the wolf pillow because, well, it has a wolf on it) and put my feet on Chris. Then I fill in whatever I need to fill in, take some pics for instagram – I really need to start doing them during the day but I always forget) and have a little browse for ideas.
- What’s the page you’re most proud of?
Um… I dunno. I don’t get ‘proud’ of stuff in my bullet journal because it’s just a productivity tool for me. Maybe my Level 10 Life Goals spread because it’s neat!?
- What’s your number one tip for beginners?
Don’t focus on replicating other peoples’ journals (especially the fancy ones) – try out lots of different things, yes, but don’t get hung up on trying to get it to look a certain way. Just focus on making it as useful for you as possible!
That’s it for the tag! I tag anyone who reads this – either do this post on your blog or youtube – I can’t remember who does bullet journaling on here anymore!?
Anyway, hope you enjoyed and I’ll talk to ya tomorrow.
