If you’ve watched my November Favourites (click here to watch) you would have seen that the W7 Honolulu Bronzer was something I did not enjoy the first time I used it. But I decided to give it another go! Here’s my honest review.
The bronzer comes in this cute square pot that I believe is meant to allude to the Beneft Hoola Bronzer. It comes with a small brush inside and it cost me £2.99 from the W7 Beauty Outlet, but you can find it on eBay, in Peacocks and other online retailers for cheaper or around the same price.
Swatched on my arm it looks like this. I swatched with the brush that was already included, with my finger and then with a generic powder brush. I did notice quite a lot of fallout! It looks better with the powder brush as it blends out nicer and doesn’t look so harsh. With my finger it went on really strangely.
This is the bronzer on my face, applied with an angled powder brush that I’d usually do my contour with. Obviously, it’s super warm. Really dark compared to my face. It didn’t suit me and didn’t blend out well, so it made it patchy and gross.
My rating: 2/10
Cheap, as W7 usually is, but there’s a reason for that. There are no shade options so you’re stuck with this colour no matter what your skintone is and obviously this is a lot darker than I would usually want. The fallout is crazy; almost as much as you’d get with a loose powder. I also didn’t like the way it applied, even after a tonne of blending!
Hope you enjoyed this short review. Please go and watch the November Favourites video to see what happened the first time I tried this. It’s pretty funny…
