The first month of 2017 is nearly over – is that a good thing? January always seems like the Monday of the year to me – and I haven’t really done too much, if I’m honest!
I reached 485 subscribers [at the time I’m writing this] on YouTube! I started with 395 so I’m really happy with my progress this month. Remember, you can subscribe by clicking here! It would mean the world to me if you did. WordPress followers shot up as well: I started with 355 and I currently have 427! Such a huge influx and I’m so grateful to everyone who follows.
The most major thing that happened in January was that I had my Gallbladder removed via keyhole surgery. I was really nervous – it was my first operation – but it went absolutely fine and you can read about my experience here. I’ve been taking it easy for the rest of January (which is why I haven’t done much).
We welcomed some new additions to the family! Corn Cob and Sweet Pea are our new rescue Guinea Piggies. Yes, they have weird names. Yes, I named them. I’ve had loooooads of Guineas before and they’ve all had weird names: Tom, Jack, Pickle, Albert, Jimbob Jones, Revel, Ruff, Tumble, Apple Juice, Orange Juice and Chester. It was such a lovely thing to be able to look forward to after my surgery.
I got a new camera! I unboxed it on YouTube and on this blog, so make sure to have a look if you haven’t already. It’s the Canon EOS M10 and so far I’m loving it! I’ve filmed two videos with it so far, but they aren’t up on YouTube yet (I film a few days in advance). I’m hoping that with a better quality camera comes better quality content overall!
Aaaaaand that’s about it for this month! It’s been a quick and chilled-out month (I blame surgery) so hopefully in future life update posts it’ll be a tad more exciting. Hope you’ve had a good January and if you’re American, I’m so, so, sorry about your president. Keep protesting, don’t be silent!
