Here’s all the makeup products I’ve been loving this month! I’m actually on a makeup ban for March so I haven’t been able to try many things so the list is quite short, but I’ve actually quite liked using the same products over and over again this month, as it makes a change! Of course I’m excited about trying new things next month too…

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain – I chose this foundation because it’s hydrating and not an intense coverage, which I thought would be perfect for a lighter makeup day. It’s a perfect match for me and feels so nice on my skin. It also lasts for ages and it’s made me want to try the other two similar Rimmel foundations! Pick it up at Boots or Superdrug for £7.99.
Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in Ivory – FINALLY! A concealer that isn’t orange on my skin! This concealer is pink-toned and brightening so I use it under my eyes to brighten them up and counteract the dark circles. I don’t use it to cover up any other blemishes as it’s so illuminating but it’s great for brightening up underneath my eyes. Pick it up at Boots or Superdrug for £7.99.
MUA Bronzed Perfection Matte Bronzer in Sunset Tan [forgot to take a picture, sorry!!] – I’ve been warming my face up with bronzer rather than contouring recently and this bronzer by MUA has been my best friend. It’s not too orange or brown for my pale skin and isn’t too pigmented either so I can blend it out to be a subtle warmness on my complexion. The best thing is it was super cheap too! You can get it from Superdrug for just £4.
Makeup Obsession Highlight in Moon and Bare – These two highlights are GORGEOUS. I tested them out in a video and blog post if you want to see them in action, but Moon is a blinding silvery highlight, whereas Bare is a pinkish more subtle highlight. Absolutely stunning and only £3 each from Boots or TAMBeauty.
Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil & Gimme Brow in shade #5 – These are both testers (I’m way too poor for the full-size!) and I’m saving the rest of them for holiday, because they’re perfect for travelling. The pencil is so creamy and such a good shape for doing my brows and the Gimme Brow can be used as a gel or a product on its own to create volume and add some colour. They’re so good and I will definitely be purchasing the full-size when I’m a little richer! You can get them from Boots! The Gimme Brow mini is only £5!
Stila Illuminating BB Cream in Shade 01 – I’ve actually had this for absolutely ages, but haven’t used it since I first got it because I didn’t like how shiny it made me look. But now I’m totally into the illumination and it’s perfect for a day where I need a teensy bit of coverage but don’t really want to do anything with my face except brows and mascara and a bit of lip balm. It’s really natural and although it’s slightly too warm for my skintone, if I blend it down my neck it’s fine (also if I tan in the summer it’ll be great!). You can get a similar product from Boots or, like I did, head down to your local W7 Beauty Outlet and pick it up for a fiver.
Collection Primed & Ready Illuminating Setting Powder – this powder swatches like a subtle highlight but when blended into the skin as powder, it makes your skin look beautifully glowy and not like you’ve smothered your face in highlight! Perfect for holiday when you don’t want to be smothered in matte powder. It’s only £3.99 from Superdrug.
SkinChemist Aqua Repair Serum – I got this full-size serum (worth £39!!!) in my LookFantastic box for March (I unboxed it all here if you want to read) and I’ve been using it every day since. My skin is so soft and hydrated and it smells beautiful. If you want to get it for yourselves you can from LookFantastic – it’s out of stock at the moment, but you can also get it from SkinChemist direct.
Cold-Pressed Castor Oil – a weird one to finish with, but I have been using castor oil in my brows and lashes to help them thicken and grow and I’ve definitely noticed a difference on my lashes! They’re more voluminous and stronger. I just use a spoolie and a thin coat of oil each night, then I take it off in the morning with a bit of cleanser and a cotton pad. You can get castor oil from supermarkets, amazon, ebay, etc! Just make sure it’s cold-pressed.
That’s it for March’s best beauty bits! This is also a YouTube video, so check out youtube.com/hollife for that! There’s no ‘worsts’ this month like usual, because I didn’t dislike anything I tried!
