Lipscrubs are great to keep your lips exfoliated and soft despite wearing even the most drying lipsticks. If you don’t want to fork out a few quid for a store-bought lipscrub, I have an easy recipe to make your own!
If you want to see a hilarious version of this post (for April Fool’s), head on over to my youtube channel, youtube.com/hollife!
- 2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp honey
- 3 drops of flavouring, such as vanilla or peppermint extract
- container, such as an empty lipbalm pot or glitter pot
All you need to do is mix your ingredients together and decant into a container. I’m using an empty lipscrub pot! You could also use vaseline instead of coconut oil, and if your oil is too hard, bung it in the microwave for 10 seconds to soften it a bit. Put the scrub in the fridge for an hour to set it, but then keep it at room temperature.
To use, rub the scrub on your lips for 30 seconds each evening as part of your skincare routine or whenever your lips are dry.
Let me know if you are going to make this lipscrub! I’m obsessed with mine; my lips feel super soft and no longer really dry.
