My Mascara Cocktail // April 2017

MASCARA COCKTAIL APRIL.jpg

I’ve told you about what mascaras I use before (read that post here) but as my collection has grown, my mascara cocktail has changed!

If I’m not doing a full-on glam day, but still have makeup on, I’ll generally pick up the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara, with some Freedom Curl Mascara underneath. This creates dark lashes but they aren’t too dramatic or voluminous. I’ve reviewed the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara in a video and blog post if you want to see what they’re like!

If you haven’t seen my ‘no makeup’ MOTD, you can read it here, but if I want natural lashes then I go for the Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes mascara that I got in a Look Fantastic Box (read that unboxing here or watch it on youtube). It really lengthens my lashes, especially when I use a lash primer. I actually use a lash primer every time I wear mascara to try and protect my lashes.

For a full face, ‘going out’ day, I’ll use the Covergirl Clumpcrusher mascara first to separate my lashes followed by Stila’s Huge Extreme Lash mascara. This is my favourite mascara and is definitely the most dramatic one I own. I also curl my lashes before I put mascara on! I don’t tend to wear falsies as I can never get them to look nice on me (or stay stuck down).

These three mascaras deserved a mention, too, as I do wear them fairly often. The first is a mini No7 Dramatic Lift mascara which is good for giving the lashes some lift (duh), then is my PS Pro High Definition mascara which is AMAZING for £3, and then the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara which makes my lashes look super volumised.

What are your current favourite mascaras? Let me know in the comments!
