Thanks so much to Rimmel and BzzAgent for sending this palette to me for review! It’s nice to be reviewing something different on my blog and as I LOVE Rimmel (everything I’ve tried so far, anyway!), I couldn’t turn it down.

This Maginif’eyes eye contouring palette (this particular shade selection is called ‘Keep Calm and Wear Gold’) will cost you just £7.99 and it consists of 8 shadows – 4 matte and 4 shimmer. It’s small enough to fit in your handbag or makeup bag without any issue yet doesn’t feel too small – each pan is definitely a decent size! You even get a mirror for use on-the-go which I always appreciate.
The colour cohesion across the palette is great and would suit a lot of people, with the colours ranging from a deep brown to a pale taupe. Everyone who knows me knows that I tend to stick to neutral eyeshadow looks for everyday makeup, so this palette will be handy for a quick morning makeup routine!
The shades don’t have names which is a shame, but I found them all to be nice and soft and mostly pigmented in the swatches. When wet, the shadows are more vibrant and can be used to line the eyes or have more vivid lid colour.
On the back of the palette there’s a mini guide about how to apply the shadows and different techniques for different eye shapes which is brilliant for people new to makeup. Most palettes don’t have anything like this unless high-end, so it’s nice to see Rimmel – an affordable brand – include this succinct guide on their packaging.
Here’s a look I created with the palette. I found the shadows to be easy to work with as they aren’t super-pigmented, so it’s almost impossible to make mistakes! The shadows were easy to blend and I used all 8 pans in this look. This palette would be perfect for beginners.
What did you think of the palette? Thanks again to BzzAgent and Rimmel for sending the product over!
