MOTD: FULL FACE OF DUPES

We all know by now that I’m a huge fan of dupes. If you’ve seen my TAMBeauty dupe list, you’ve probably picked up a few for yourself as well! I decided to do a complete makeup look using just the dupes I have in my collection. At the end of the post you can read how much the products cost compared to their high-end dupes so you can see how much money I saved.

BASE

MUA Hydro Primer – This is a dupe for the Illamasqua Hydra Veil and is a water-based primer that feels (and looks) like clear jelly. Really hydrating and one of my favourites.

L’Oreal True Match Foundation – According to Google, this is a dupe for the MAC Studio Fix foundation. I haven’t tried the MAC one but I really like the L’Oreal one – it’s a great match for me and has nice coverage.

Primark PS My Perfect Colour Concealer – This absolute bargain is a dupe of the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which itself is a dupe of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Not high coverage but is a great colour match – better than Maybelline!

Makeup Revolution The One Blush Stick – These sticks are NARS The Multiples dupes! I’ve taken a very pale pink shimmer stick to use as my highlight and I like the subtle glow it gives.

Makeup Revolution Lace Baking Powder – The Ben Nye Banana powder was duped by MUR first, followed by three other colours. Lace is a very pale pink-toned powder and dupes the Ben Nye Rose Petal (or possibly Fair) powder. I do have dry patches with this powder, though.

Makeup Revolution Renaissance Glow – This cute bronzer/highlighter duo is beautifully packaged. It dupes the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronzer duo. The bronzer is actually pretty cool-toned and I can contour with it as well as bronze up my face.

W7 Cheeky Flusher – The packaging of this cheap blusher is identical to NARS and the blush is pretty similar to NARS Orgasm blusher, with a pinky coral blush that shifts to gold. It’s not too sheer or too pigmented and blends out nicely!

W7 Glocomotion – This highlight isn’t my favourite as I don’t tend to like golden highlights, but it’s not too yellow-toned and is actually nicely glowy. This dupes The Balm Mary-Lou-Manizer and is a great alternative if you enjoy that one.

EYES & LIPS

MUA Luxe Power Brow – I love a good pomade and although this isn’t my favourite, I still enjoy using it. This is a dupe of Benefit KaBrow and is a super creamy and pigmented brow pomade.

W7 Delicious palette – This palette blew up in the blogging world when it released; this is a really good dupe for the ABH Modern Renaissance. It’s so much better than other W7 palettes (I think they updated their formula for this one) and I use it a lot.

L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara – This is a dupe of the cult favourite Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. I even reviewed it and compared the two in a video if you’d like to see. It’s not my favourite mascara but it’s not bad!

Makeup Revolution Reign Lipliner – These matte lipkits are so good as a budget version of the Kylie Lipkits. I only used the lipliner from the Reign lipkit today, but they’re so creamy and pigmented. They do smell like plastic, though.

Makeup Revolution Renaissance Lipstick – These are absolutely gorgeous to look at – the packaging dupes the Charlotte Tilbury lippies – and they perform nicely on the lips as well. I used the shade Lifelong which I think is my favourite. They’re very creamy and pigmented but last a long time.

THE LOOK

I did really like everything I tested out, but the palette wasn’t very pigmented so wasn’t as bold as I like my eyeshadow normally. I could have definitely built everything up more but as I was filming, I didn’t want to take forever!
